Old school Swatch Watches

>The next flyback driver is By far the most powerful and efficient. ZVS stands for 'Zero voltage switching', which bascicly means that when there is zero volts across the mosfet it turns on and then lets current trough, this inturn causes very little heating, so for example if you ran it of 12volts the mosfets would only produce minimal heat. The heat that is produced comes from the transistors non ideal Drain to Source resistance, so getting a mosfet with very Little RDS(on) is very important, examples of such a mosfet would be the irfp250 which is used in the original design by mazilli. The 5+5 turns are not cricical, if you wish to power the flyback of a larger voltage you would use more turns and vice-versa.The inductor also is not critical, generaly if one wants more voltage out put he goes for a higher inductance, and if they desire more current a lesser value will do.Now for the capacitor, the 0.68uf has to be a very good quality capacitor like a MKP or and mmc rated at around 300volts. When you have completed the driver and tested at lower voltages lets say 12volts, you can go higher, maybe up to 45volts anything over this and the drain spikes are going to be much higher that the 200v the irfp250 is rated for, so the rule is the mosfets Have to have a VDS (voltage Drain to Source) 4 times higher than the supply voltage.
